{"id":58,"date":"2017-11-27T11:31:00","date_gmt":"2017-11-27T17:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/okgc-amaranth.com\/?page_id=58"},"modified":"2018-02-02T16:30:53","modified_gmt":"2018-02-02T22:30:53","slug":"how-do-i-join-amaranth","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/okgrandcourt.com\/?page_id=58","title":{"rendered":"How do I join Amaranth?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"ff1 cf0 fs24\"><b>Question 1: Who may join the Order of Amaranth?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Answer:<\/p>\n<p>All Master Masons in good standing within the Masonic Fraternity and the immediate female relatives of at least eighteen years of age of Master Masons or deceased Master Masons who were in good standing with the fraternity at the time of their death.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ff1 cf0 fs24\">Female relatives who are eligible for membership include <\/span><span class=\"fs24 ff1 cf0\" style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">Wives, Mothers,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">Daughters,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">Granddaughters,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"fs24 ff1 cf0\" style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">Step-<wbr \/>daughters, Legally adopted daughters,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"fs24 ff1 cf0\" style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">Widows,\u00a0 Sisters,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">Half-<\/span><wbr style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\" \/><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">sisters, Nieces,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"fs24 ff1 cf0\" style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">Grand-nieces, Aunts,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">Great-<\/span><wbr style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\" \/><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 0.9375em;\">granddaughters, and\/or Grandmothers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Women may also be eligible for membership with the recommendation of two Master Masons.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"fs24 ff1 cf0\"><br \/>\n<b>Question 2: How does one become a member of the Order of Amaranth?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Answer:<\/p>\n<p>By completing a petition for membership, having it signed by two present members of the Order, paying the necessary petition fee and submitting it to your local Court of Amaranth for consideration.<\/p>\n<p><b>Question 3: What happens after I submit my petition?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Answer:<\/p>\n<p>Your petition will be received by the Court at its next regular meeting and an Investigating Committee will be assigned. \u00a0The Investigating Committee will report its findings to the Court at its second meeting following the receipt of your petition. \u00a0The Court will then ballot on your request for membership. \u00a0If you are elected, the Court secretary will inform you and schedule with you a date for your initiation. \u00a0At the initiation, you will receive the degree of the Order of Amaranth and become a regular member.<\/p>\n<p><b>Question 4: What does the Investigating Committee do?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Answer:<\/p>\n<p>Legally, the committee is to check the character and qualifications of the applicant for membership. In practice, the committee is a committee of visitation. \u00a0It will meet with you and get to know you. They will check your Masonic eligibility. \u00a0But most importantly, they will answer your questions about the Order of Amaranth and steps you are presently going through in order to become a member of the Order of Amaranth.<\/p>\n<p><b>Question 5: Why must the Court ballot on my petition for membership?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Answer:<\/p>\n<p>Like any other fraternal group, the Order of Amaranth is careful about who they admit to membership. \u00a0We want to be sure that our members are of good morals and be a constructive and harmonize member of the Order.<\/p>\n<p><b>Question 6: What happens at my initiation?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Answer:<\/p>\n<p>You will be put through the degree of the Order of Amaranth. \u00a0There is no hazing. \u00a0You will be taught beautiful and impressive lessons concerning the four principal virtues of the Order: Truth, Faith, Wisdom, and Charity. \u00a0These lessons will be given within the setting of a queenly court during the period of chivalry.<\/p>\n<p><b>Question 7: What happens after my initiation?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Answer:<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, you become an active member of your court by participating in its activities and working with it for the great charitable efforts of the Order.<\/p>\n<p><b>Question 8: How may I obtain more information about becoming a member of the Order of Amaranth?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Answer:<\/p>\n<p>By asking any member of the Order that you know?<\/p>\n<p><b>Question 9: What if I don&#8217;t know a member near where I live?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Answer:<\/p>\n<p>Send an e-<wbr \/>mail message to our <a href=\"http:\/\/okgc-amaranth.com\/?page_id=81\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Webmaster<\/a> with your name, address, telephone number or e-<wbr \/>mail address. \u00a0The Webmaster will forward your request for information, and a local member of the Order should contact you by your preferred method within a week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Question 1: Who may join the Order of Amaranth?
